Questionnaire

Each attendee was provided with a questionnaire to complete at the end of the day. The questionnaire consisted of questions above

  • the user groups,
  • experience in the field of navigation,
  • the percentage of users who regularly use Satellite Navigation,
  • attendees’ current use of AIS,
  • the audiences opinion about the benefit of the demonstrated MarGal prototype for e-Navigation regarding port operations, and
  • upgrade prospectives of existing navigation equipment to include Galileo.

A few of the results are represented by the following figures:

Figure 2: Results of the current use of AIS amongst the surveyed audience.

Figure 3: Results showing the opinion of the surveyed audience on whether e-Navigation as demonstrated with the MarGal prototype would benefit port operations in the future.

Figure 4: Results of when the surveyed audience are looking to upgrade to Galileo receivers.

These results of the questionnaire are indicative however, due to the limited survey population.
