MARGAL Prototype Demonstration - Port Applications
Attendees
The information day and demonstration attracted a large audience of over 50 people from across Europe. The audience was made up of people representing various aspects of marine transport including; users; harbour masters; service providers; representatives from industry; National and European government. A breakdown of the attendees is shown in the following figure 1.

Questionnaire
Each attendee was provided with a questionnaire to complete at the end of the day. The questionnaire consisted of questions above
- the user groups,
- experience in the field of navigation,
- the percentage of users who regularly use Satellite Navigation,
- attendees’ current use of AIS,
- the audiences opinion about the benefit of the demonstrated MarGal prototype for e-Navigation regarding port operations, and
- upgrade prospectives of existing navigation equipment to include Galileo.

These results of the questionnaire are indicative however, due to the limited survey population.
