MARGAL Prototype Demonstration - Inland Waterways (Budapest) Inland Waterways applications Executive overview On the 6th September 2005, the MARGAL consortium organised an information day and demonstration event on Galileo and EGNOS, and the concept of the MARGAL service in the inland waterway domain. The aim of the information day and demonstration was to raise awareness of Galileo and EGNOS and to provide potential users with more information on these systems. The day was split into two parts, with the morning set aside for presentations providing the audience with a greater understanding of the two systems, including a presentation by the Galileo Joint Undertaking. The session provided the audience with an opportunity to see the MARGAL prototype and visit the Calamity Abatement Centre of RSOE which formed an integral part of the demonstration activities.
